A VOICE~

On this earth
Since beginning of man
Countless dreams have died
Or, rather been strangled to death
in mind’s cool alertness;
When hopes weigh more
than closure
The heart reflects
Dying a little everyday
Realizes,
Destiny’s ultimate!
Limping mind
Waits for the oozing to stop
A newly sown hope
Resurfaces
Reasons
Contemplates
Coughs up fire
Seals the storm-
A life finds a new foothold
Welding all reasons...

  1. Excellent, Panchali. So true that man has always had dreams, not all of them brought to fruition; but when ONE dies there is another that is born. We, as humans, keep finding a new foothold to propel forward, don't we? And we do. Thank goodness for our dreams!

I loved your poem, which covers what I find happening quite often with dreams. Wanting to believe, but finding that reality is still with me...A disappointing reaction at times!!!
